The bruised and confused home side fell tamely yesterday as Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga took a career-best 5-68 to give the tourists an iron grip on the second test. Malinga's slingy right-arm action from the Bob Vance Stand end saw New Zealand ripped out for 130 in its first innings. Sri Lanka then piled on the agony by reaching 225-5, a lead of 363 with three days remaining. lankacricket ::: Favorites Malinga has one of the straightest arms at the point of release. His arm is parallel to the ground, no flexation there. According the old laws of cricket bowlers were allowed to flex their arms or loosly put an elbow jerk of 5 degrees, studies later proved even mcgrath had a flexation of 12-13 degrees so the law was useless it made every bowler a chucker.
