singwith ::: Favorites 2007-12-27 01:02:43 May be it's too hot inside of the baggage car? __________________________________________________
DysDarkFalcon ::: Favorites 2007-12-25 09:12:52 Should tell them closing it saves them money due to wind resistance. The slight mention of "Save money" will make them think about closing the door, then think about removing the baggage car as a whole =P __________________________________________________
singwith ::: Favorites 2007-12-19 02:52:04 I know! Somehow, they often do that! __________________________________________________
goldeneagle2007 ::: Favorites 2007-11-23 22:35:40 And yet they leave the baggage car door open! __________________________________________________
singwith ::: Favorites 2007-10-19 01:26:29 Thanks for the info about Max speed of the US Passenger RR. BRIANamtrak mentioned today, CS runs 80pmh through Simi Valley, CA... so, It could be higher than 70mph when they hit Glendale, CA. __________________________________________________
BobWeaver112 ::: Favorites 2007-10-19 00:49:05 Max speed for any passenger movement anywhere in the US is 79mph. This of course does not include the NEC, high speed lines in Michigan, and a certain portion of track that allows the Southwest Chief to reach 90 somewhere in the midwest if I'm not mistaken. So while P42s can go much faster than 79, they rarely do. __________________________________________________
singwith ::: Favorites 2007-10-19 00:42:18 well, may be faster than 70mph this time. __________________________________________________
BobWeaver112 ::: Favorites 2007-10-19 00:29:35 ...your point being? __________________________________________________
singwith ::: Favorites 2007-10-19 00:26:29 According to Wekipedia, P42's top speed is 100~110mph. __________________________________________________
BobWeaver112 ::: Favorites 2007-10-17 19:35:35 If freight moves at 70, I'd be willing to bet that Amtrak can move at 79.. __________________________________________________
singwith ::: Favorites 2007-10-12 01:45:01 Someone told me 70mph. __________________________________________________
