| DookofHDP ::: Favorites 2007-09-06 14:57:06 I met up with the sound guy at a club later and he let me know that the caterers (who did an incredible job) got a flat tire on the way out -- someone put a glass underneath one of the wheels of their truck. Real nice. I actually checked under my tires before driving away that night because these bastards struck me as the kind of people who would do that. I only do that check if I'm in an extremely poor neighborhood or at one of these ultra-rich parties. __________________________________________________ | |

I play quite a few private parties every year which require tuxedos and everyone seems to dance funny. That's cool with me. The folks at this particular party view those other rich folks as paupers. This was an extremely extravagant private party with a generous staff to guest ratio. __________________________________________________ | |
| DookofHDP ::: Favorites 2007-09-06 14:53:53 I have no problem with bad dancing when I'm getting paid to play. This wasn't your stereotypical "white" dancing. You won't see this kind of stuff in public. There was an 'emporer is wearing no clothes' aspect to it. The impression I got was that these are people who are accustomed to doing whatever whenever without being questioned or challenged, yet they remain incredibly self-conscious on some levels.
