Very good said, it is NOT worshiping God but a book! Every time a fundamentalist may choose between 2 solutions, one that follows LOVE and one that follows the book (the laws), the fundamentalist will ALWAYS follow the book!

Foxglove consumed can kill you - yet it is where digitalis comes from. Tomato plants are poisonous but we eat the fruit. Castor beans are used to make ricin poison, but we use the fibers to make paper, and a safe castor oil that is consumed and rubbed into sore muscles - plants have their poisons, we have nuclear weapons.

Smiles, at this point, I am not so very crazy about how awful weird our planet is turning out - I was hoping for a more Next Generation world instead it feels so Nazi Germany. Too much fanaticism - even I seem to reel from the desire to dethrone our national government.

Hahahaha, "Thanks a lot God", man you crack me up Largo64. Good point, I had never thought about the poisonous plants, do you suppose that was all Adam and Eve's fault too, what with the original sin and all? Thanks a lot Adam and Eve! Way to go!

Good observation on trichinosis. Genesis has God saying that ALL plant and animal species at first were for man to eat. Only later were some forbidden. And he didn't bother to relate to the people which plants were now poisonous. Thanks a lot, God.

Fundamentalists of both Christianity and Islam think they worship their god, but they actually worship their book. They are stuck with the beliefs of pre-civilized, illiterate people.

I totally agree, I get my sense of spirituality from communing with nature. I think that we live on in our writings and videos and the lives that we touch while we are alive.

I don't practice any type of rituals, I tend to believe that the greatest scientest is this thing I call simply God, that it isn't at all what we have been taught here and if I am mistaken, that's ok too. My cremated ash will live on in my garden.

I left christianity a long while back and felt for about 5 years there could be no God - at least not this stupid self centered, son killing asshole created from judiasm with lots of paganism thrown in. My garden - brought back to feeling there is something out there -

I used to use PalTalk frequently - there were about 3 atheists who just hated the world in general - they thought the world would be better off if believers died off and to be frank, I was afraid to think of letting them know where I live. After finding youtube - I kinda backed off Paltalk. If they had been Christians, they would have hated there too.
