The leaning off the bike changes the center of gravity to the inside, away from the contact patch on the tires (no matter what the speed), which increases cornering clearance, which means that you can go around a corner faster. If you take a track-day course it's pretty standard to teach you how and why to incorporate it into your riding. On my "touring" bike I need all the cornering clearance, plus it feels nice to get the knee down... 07-05-31 17:53:22 __________________________________________________
