Description:
-----------------------x "The Last Presentation is a 38-minute educational video that targets social science classes in diversity, sociology, and comparative religion. The DVD was mailed to social science teachers in 16,000 US high schools. The video depicts a presenter addressing a comparative religion class of 35 students. She gives an atheist's point of view and answers questions from students. The goals of the video are to open young minds to the importance of logic, reason, and science, and to promote the separation of church and state. It introduces students to the nonbeliever's point of view." Condensed from: http://www.cocore.org/ -----------------------x Religious and nonreligious alike should see this video :) |

nigex ::: Favorites Scientists who *really* believe in imaginary gods must have a severe condition that allows them to live with two conflicting world views. 07-10-05 00:19:36 __________________________________________________ | |
gklr ::: Favorites So let me understand. Atheism is symmetrical or assymetrical? If disease is not theistic, it is atheistic? When she says she doesn't believe in a God, if true, it says nothing about her at all. It says something true about what she isn't, not what she is. This common error is tragic for atheism, as it shows how little logic is being applied. I am an atheist only because I believe there is no God. 07-09-18 00:45:23 __________________________________________________ | |

samuel006 ::: Favorites All good. But I disagree that science and religion are not in conflict. Scientists who cling irrationally to religion are just as guilty of wishful thinking as regular people who cling irrationally to religion. 07-09-09 12:23:33 __________________________________________________ | |
rkzenrage ::: Favorites There are two kinds of atheists, hard and soft. "I do not believe in god(s)" "I believe there is not a god(s)" 07-09-08 15:16:21 __________________________________________________ | |
URBANRUST ::: Favorites Nice video!...Going to go watch the other parts...:) 07-09-07 06:10:11 __________________________________________________ |
