I came across David Sanborn, never heard of him at that time. I figure, Oh this will sound real crappy; . The song is called ' Benjamin ' . I played it and I was blown away. I was in shock to hear this dude play with a very sexy mellow sound of Marchall Royal ( of Count Basie Band) yes I was very impressed. Glad you're enjoying Dave, a wonderful player and a very nice cat. I play sax and have been listening to Dave since 1976 when his 2nd record came out. Just wanted to let you know he in no way sounds like Marshal Royal on that track or any other more out of Hank Crawford or others and he also studied with Mile's alum George Coleman and he took up sax as the other cat posted to help with his polio as a child he has one good lung. Marshal played lead alto with the Basie band I am the current Lead alto of the Basie Orchestra. Keep supporting the music!
